Sky Dental Proudly Sponsors Samurai Soul Championships

Sky Dental is a proud sponsor of Samurai Soul Championships (SSC). The SSC brings mixed martial arts events (MMA) to the Phoenix area, showcasing Arizona athletes and national competitors.

Mixed martial arts have become more mainstream with organizations like the SSC to provide a professional platform. Organized competitions give local athletes the chance to practice their combat moves before an appreciative audience. When Arizona Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu athletes show off their skills, onlookers experience the thrills of a Samurai fight.

In any contact sport, teeth are vulnerable to damage.  Athletes should seek help immediately, since timing may be critical. The Samurai Soul Championship gym in Peoria is close to our Alta Sky Dental office, although Desert Sky Dental may be equally convenient.

Our other Phoenix dentist offices include Sierra Sky Dental, Southern Sky Dental and Sky Dental Chandler.  Please give us a chance to restore teeth that are bleeding, painful, loose, cracked or missing.

Muay Thai Phoenix AZ Competition

Muay Thai is often translated as Thai Boxing in English. This martial art, perfected over centuries in Thailand, has resulted in terms like Thai Samurai, expanding the idea of the noble Japanese warrior to those who practice Muay Thai. This idea was furthered by the 2010 Thai film, Yamada: The Samurai of Ayothaya.

This ancient art of fighting has been called the “art of eight limbs”, representing hands, elbows, knees and shins. Muaythai has had a major effect on today’s mixed martial arts. Kickboxing certainly has its roots in this Thai Samurai art.

To have the opportunity to compete in Muay Thai Phoenix AZ athletes can showcase their skills at SSC state competitions. Each Soul fight is an opportunity to advance in the Arizona Soul Samurai rankings. It may be a stepping stone to other MMA events across the country.

Jiu Jitsu Surprise Az Competition

The well-known Japanese combat sport earned the name Jiu Jitsu in the 1700s. However, this art has been evolving for more than 1,000 years. At last count, there are more than 2,000 recognized forms of the sport.

As many Jiu Jitsu Surprise Az athletes know, their favorite combat sport inspired other martial arts, including Aikido, Baritsu, Wado Ryu Karate, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It also inspired Judo, which became an Olympic sport in 1964. More recently, the Japanese sport has heavily influenced mixed martial arts in the United States.

Samurai Soul Championship events are vital to Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and other MMA athletes who want to push the boundaries of their skills here in Arizona. To find out more, check out the SSC event schedule.
